Accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers

On June 26, 2014 the NCOA Accreditation Board  met and unanimously approved the recommendation for re-accreditation of 55 Kip Center!! Accreditation provides official recognition that a senior center meets the nine standards of senior center operations. Completing the process showed our board, staff, members and community leaders that our senior center met the highest national standards.  As a new generation looks to redefine retirement, 55 Kip center is prepared to reflect a more empowered vision of aging.

Accreditation is an official mark of excellence. It portrays the senior center in a positive light in terms of being a viable, fundable, and qualified provider of services with the community.  According to the Administration on Aging, there are approximately 11,000 senior centers in the Unite States.  55 Kip center is among 110 senior centers who met the standards as developed by NISC for National Accreditation.  In NJ, 55 Kip Center shares this achievement with West Windsor Senior Center and Hamilton Township.

We are proud of our achievement and invite you to celebrate with us at our Open House on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 10:00 to 2:00. Further details to follow.
